Manti 6th District Courthouse

Project Overview

A project nearly two decades in the making, the brand-new Utah 6th District Courthouse in Manti has officially opened its doors in February 2025. This long-awaited facility not only enhances the functionality of the local judicial system but also significantly improves safety and efficiency for staff, inmates, and the public. Intermark Steel played a key role in bringing this courthouse to life, providing the structural steel, stairs, and railings. This 28,500-square-foot facility features two modern courtrooms, a secure sally port, holding cells, and other critical elements aimed at streamlining judicial processes. One of the standout aspects of this project was how smoothly everything progressed. Working alongside a skilled team of architects, engineers, and construction professionals made for a seamless experience. However, every project comes with its challenges. One issue we encountered involved the design drawings for the railings, which specified a normal weld. Our team followed these plans precisely, but upon installation, a discrepancy arose about if the weld fit was within the NOMMA requirements. Rather than push back that we had fit the design drawings, our field crew took the time to carefully undo the welds and adjust the railings to meet our customer’s expectations. We take pride in ensuring our work meets the needs and expectations of every project. We’re proud to have contributed to such an important project that will serve the Manti community for generations to come. Our involvement in projects like this reinforces our commitment to precision, problem-solving, and delivering top-tier steel solutions.
