Intermark Steel has proudly contributed to four key phases of the Salt Lake City Airport Redevelopment, Utah’s largest construction project to date:

1. Airport Redevelopment – Garage and Cup:

Following our success with Alta View Hospital, Schuff Steel contracted Intermark Steel to manage the miscellaneous steel scope for the airport’s new parking garage. This project marked a significant leap in contract value and included major galvanized stair towers and over a mile of TIG-welded stainless steel railing in the atriums and stair towers. Intermark is proud to have played a part in shaping Utah’s future with this landmark project.

2. North Concourse:

The North Concourse has been a central project for Intermark, keeping our team engaged for nearly four years. As part of the largest construction project in Utah, Intermark worked alongside top contractors in the state, delivering results throughout various project phases. This long-term involvement has helped us grow and mature as a company.

3. Southeast Concourse:

Intermark’s journey at the airport began in 2018 with work on the Helix Parking Garage, which included stairs, railings, stainless steel elements, and miscellaneous steel. In 2019, we undertook the North Concourse, our largest project at the time. Despite COVID-related delays, we have remained committed to delivering on the South Concourse East, which is nearing completion. This phase tested our processes and adaptability, but we met the challenge head-on.

4. Northeast Concourse:

Our largest contract to date, the Northeast Concourse, involved over 334 tons of steel, with 24,174 linear feet of railing—more than 21,000 feet just from Intermark. Working closely with Highmark Steel for fabrication and erection, we contributed to this massive, multi-year project. While our role may represent only 0.5% of the entire project, we are immensely proud of our contributions to this transformative redevelopment.
